Worried about fixing your shiny new iQOO 15 Ultra? The repair costs are out, and some parts might make you wince!
Following its grand unveiling in China, iQOO has generously shared the official price list for spare parts for their latest flagship, the iQOO 15 Ultra. This means if disaster strikes, you'll know exactly what you're in for when it comes to replacing key components like the screen, battery, and even the all-important motherboard. It’s always good to have this info handy, right?
Let's dive into the numbers, shall we? The standard screen replacement will set you back 1,590 yuan (approximately $223). But here's where it gets interesting: iQOO is offering a discounted rate of 1,190 yuan ($167) if you choose to return your damaged screen for recycling. They assure us that all these returned displays will be sent back to the factory for an eco-friendly processing, which is a nice touch!
For those everyday wear-and-tear issues, a battery replacement is a more palatable 199 yuan ($28), and even the rear cover is priced at 245 yuan ($34). These seem quite reasonable for a premium device.
Now, for the big one: the motherboard. This is where things can get a bit pricey, and it's directly tied to your phone's memory and storage configuration. If you opted for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model, expect a motherboard replacement cost of 3,260 yuan ($456). Stepping up to the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage version pushes that price to 3,650 yuan ($511). And for the ultimate power users with the 24GB RAM and 1TB storage model, the motherboard will cost a hefty 3,850 yuan ($539). Ouch!
But what about those incredible cameras? iQOO has priced the front camera module quite affordably at just 90 yuan ($13). The main rear camera comes in at 295 yuan ($41), the telephoto module is 285 yuan ($40), and the ultra-wide camera is 115 yuan ($16). These prices are certainly a relief compared to the motherboard!
And this is the part most people miss: accessories! The official charger is priced at 199 yuan ($28), and the data cable is 89 yuan ($12). For devices that are unfortunately out of warranty, the service center will charge a fixed labor fee of 50 yuan ($7). The good news is, if multiple components need fixing during a single visit, this labor fee is only charged once.
Of course, if your device is still under warranty, you're covered! The screen, battery, motherboard, and camera can all be replaced at no additional cost. Phew!
For those who love the nitty-gritty specs, the iQOO 15 Ultra boasts a stunning 6.85-inch 2K+ 144Hz Samsung M14 LTPO AMOLED display. It can reach an astonishing peak brightness of 8,000 nits and supports HDR, high-frequency PWM dimming, and can even dim down to 1 nit for comfortable low-light viewing. Under the hood, it's powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, complemented by a dedicated Q3 gaming chip, up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.1 storage.
Gamers, rejoice! iQOO has included pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers, a built-in cooling fan, and a large vapor chamber to keep thermals in check during intense gaming sessions. The massive 7,400mAh battery supports speedy 100W wired and 40W wireless charging. The quad-camera system features a 50MP Sony main sensor and a 3x periscope telephoto lens. The device also boasts IP68/IP69 certification, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and runs on OriginOS 6.0 based on Android 16.
