Sophi says, “Savannah and Rizo… I want to go for them too,” hinting at a potential disruption to the established group. Yet, the teaser’s editing is a bit choppy, so it’s wise not to read too much into that line alone.
Sophi doesn’t appear ready to ambush both Rizo and Savannah on her own. She doesn’t seem to have a wide support base beyond possibly Sophie. It’s more plausible she could try to isolate one of the two rather than spearheading a full-blown coup. With the current seven players left, a clean majority coalition to remove either Savannah or Rizo seems unlikely unless a fresh alignment forms around her. In short, Sophi is more likely to remain attached to her comfortable duo rather than unleash a radical breakout just yet.
Interesting dynamics emerge as the trailer shows Sophi and Sophie forming a closer bond after the merge vote. This partnership could function as a strategic counterweight to Rizo and Savannah, who have stayed tight since Day 1. It’ll be fascinating to watch whether this pairing attempts a strike against the long-time pair, or if Sophie returns to a position of influence by shaping the votes. Given Sophie’s strong position in the previous episode, she could hold the key to deciding the outcome.
Another focal point of the preview is Sage’s emotional moment, where she’s shown hurt and betrayed by Sophie. Sage exclaims, “You had the biggest smile on your face,” possibly referencing Sophie’s reaction when the votes were read at Tribal Council, which culminated in Sage’s blindsiding and the exit of her ally Jawan.
From earlier footage, Sage seemed to be navigating a middle ground between two camps but failed to maintain it. If she suspects Sophie revealed her plan to blindside Savannah and Rizo, she may see Sophie as the primary catalyst for her downfall. If Sage targets Sophie, expectations suggest a straightforward pitch to the remaining players.
